Senior Pre-Sales Engineer

TeraSky is actively seeking a proficient and seasoned Solutions Architect/Pre-Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the technical sales process throughout our sales cycles, catering to the diverse needs of our US clientele.

As a Solutions Architect, you will be at the forefront of crafting innovative solutions utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, including but not limited to storage, servers, hyper-converged infrastructure, data protection, cloud management platforms, automations, micro-services infrastructure, and public clouds.

The responsibilities of this position extend to conducting consulting engagements, delivering Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) solutions to clients, producing technical papers and documentation, researching and benchmarking emerging technologies, and preparing and delivering technical sessions, demonstrations, proof of concepts, and more.

Beyond technical acumen, we are seeking an individual with strong interpersonal skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to become an integral part of our close-knit team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and orchestrate intricate cross-platform sales processes within complex customer environments.
  • Collaborate closely with account managers throughout each sales process.
  • Engage with delivery experts during both sales processes and project implementations.
  • Identify and comprehend customer needs across all facets.
  • Manage customer relationships in tandem with account managers, serving as the trusted technical advisor.
  • Contribute to strategic roadmap decisions for TeraSky, particularly concerning technologies and products.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements:

  • Possess 5+ years of experience in the IT industry or related fields.
  • Demonstrate 2+ years of experience as a solution architect or in a pre-sales role, with prior consulting experience being advantageous.
  • Exhibit proficiency in virtualization technologies, particularly the VMware SDDC stack (vSAN, vSphere, NSX).
  • Familiarity with Container technologies, especially Docker, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Container orchestrators or PaaS such as VMware Tanzu, EKS, or equivalent cloud technologies is advantageous.
  • Understanding of networking concepts is beneficial.
  • Possess a broad perspective on IT and business system flows, with additional technical skills in DevOps and Public Cloud being advantageous.
  • Ability to compose high-level solution documents and scope of work documents.
  • On the pre-sales level, demonstrate experience in managing complex processes and projects, with a high level of integration across multiple stakeholders within an enterprise.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, maintaining a positive attitude while establishing and nurturing effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

For applicants in the United States, the potential yearly compensation or "OTE" (including commission for sales positions and salary for other roles) for this job spans from $230,000 to $280,000. The final offer will take into account the specific role, location, and the candidate's unique experience.
