Data Protection Across Cloud, Code, and Data Center

Ransomware, outages, and bad deployments don’t wait. Recovery speed and reliability are architectural problems. TeraSky implements Commvault and Clumio to solve it.

Commvault

Single-platform protection across on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud. Fourteen consecutive years in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant – relevant because the platform has actually kept pace with how infrastructure has evolved.

  • Anomaly and threat detection runs against backup data before recovery, preventing reinfection at restore time.
  • Synthetic Recovery™ surgically removes compromised blocks and reconstructs a clean, point-in-time dataset — no forced choice between data loss and restoring malware.
  • Air-gapped, immutable backup copies with no writable attack surface (94% of ransomware attacks target backup storage)
  • Cleanroom Recovery with automated runbooks — recovery paths are pre-tested and executable under pressure.

Available as SaaS (Commvault Cloud) — full platform capability, no backup infrastructure to operate.

Clumio — AWS-Native Backup

Agentless, serverless AWS backup covering EC2, EBS, RDS, DynamoDB, and S3. Nothing is being deployed into your account. Policies managed via API, observable via fine-grained job and cost telemetry, and pluggable into CI/CD pipelines.
Isolation model: backup data lands in a dedicated AWS account per organization, encrypted with a composite customer + Clumio key, immutable from write. Deletion requires explicit legal authorization — no IAM credentials, no insider, no automation script can trigger it.

Recovery capabilities:

  • Parallelized restores — hundreds of TB in hours
  • SQL-queryable backups for single-record retrieval
  • Direct application read access to backup data without a full restore
  • Cross-region point-in-time recovery
  • S3/data lake secondaries spun up in minutes and are directly accessible

Cost: eliminates the redundant third copy AWS-native approaches require for isolation — typically 30%+ reduction in backup storage spend.

Kubernetes and DevOps Workloads

EKS, AKS, and GKE clusters get application-consistent backups that cover persistent volumes, namespace configurations, and Helm-managed deployments.

Source repositories, artifact registries, and pipeline configuration state are treated as production assets — because a wiped Git repo or corrupted artifact registry is a production incident.

All of it runs under the same policy engine and reporting framework as the rest of the environment. No separate tooling, no blind spots.

TeraSky’s Role

Architecture design, integration, recovery validation, and ongoing operations – across AWS, Azure, and GCP (elite partner status on all three).
Our Commvault-certified engineers bring regional presence and hands-on familiarity with local compliance requirements. We’ve seen how infrastructure actually sprawls across clouds and on-prem — and we design for that reality, not a clean-sheet assumption.

Recovery SLAs are validated before an incident, not assumed. That’s not a tagline – it’s the work we do before we consider an implementation complete.

When ransomware hits or an outage cascades, the question isn’t whether your backup vendor has good documentation. It’s whether your team has a tested path through it. That’s what we’re here to build with you.
