TeraSky’s Scott Rosenberg, Lead Architect in our CTO Office, recently took the stage at the prestigious Open Source Summit Europe 2024 in Vienna, Austria. This was a landmark event for the open-source community, bringing together developers, technologists, and community leaders from around the world and providing a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
With a diverse range of sessions, workshops, and keynotes, the summit covered a wide array of open-source topics, from cloud-native technologies to emerging trends in artificial intelligence. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, learn about the latest developments in the open-source ecosystem, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of open-source software.
Scott’s presentation, titled “Your K8s Infinity Gauntlet: The Marvel of KEDA and Cluster-API for Infinite Scale,” explored the transformative capabilities of KEDA and Cluster-API, two powerful tools that can revolutionize Kubernetes cluster management. He demonstrated how KEDA and Cluster-API can optimize resource utilization through event-driven auto-scaling, enhance flexibility with declarative cluster provisioning, streamline operations through automated workflows, and enable unprecedented scalability to handle demanding workloads.
Scott explained how KEDA, a Kubernetes Event-Driven Autoscaler, empowers proactive scaling based on various events, such as message queues, APMs, and metrics. He also highlighted the significance of Cluster-API, which enables declarative provisioning, updating, customizing, and deleting Kubernetes clusters. Together, KEDA and Cluster-API offer a game-changing solution for achieving infinite scale with Kubernetes.
