Background
Arbe Robotics, leading innovators in Autotech radar technology, provide cutting-edge radar solutions integral to driver-assist systems and autonomous driving development. Facing challenges with its global employee access infrastructure, Arbe partnered with TeraSky to modernize its radar analysis platform.
Challenge
Arbe’s existing infrastructure required employees across multiple global locations – Israel, China, Europe, and the USA – to access their critical radar analysis platform through a complex VPN setup. This multi-step process involved connecting to the client-site VPN at Arbe’s on-premises office, followed by a site-to-site VPN connection to AWS VPC. Additionally, user management was handled internally through MongoDB, creating unnecessary overhead and security concerns. The solution needed to eliminate VPN dependencies for web applications while maintaining robust security and shifting user management to an external service.
Solution
TeraSky implemented a comprehensive AWS-based solution deployed in the Frankfurt region, carefully preserving the existing EC2-based monolithic architecture while enhancing accessibility and security. The solution architecture included:
Each of these components worked in concert to create a cohesive, secure, and efficient solution that met all of Arbe’s requirements.
“The real challenge was balancing global accessibility with enterprise-grade security,” says TeraSky’s Uri Menukhin, VP Cloud Engineering. “By implementing private VPC endpoints and zero-trust architecture principles, we were able to create a solution that was actually more secure than the original VPN-based system while making it easier for teams to access their tools. It’s a perfect example of how modernization can enhance both security and user experience simultaneously.”
Bottom Line
The implementation has delivered significant improvements across the organization’s operations. By eliminating VPN-related access delays, teams can now connect to critical systems instantly, while the shift to externalized user management has substantially reduced IT overhead. The introduction of modern authentication protocols has strengthened the overall security posture, and the streamlined infrastructure has fostered improved collaboration among global teams.
“TeraSky’s expert implementation based on AWS has significantly improved our team’s efficiency,” shared Shlomi Hazan, Arbe’s, DevOps and Infrastructure Manager. “Our engineers can now access and analyze radar recordings instantly, accelerating our development cycle and improving collaboration across global offices.”
Looking ahead, the new infrastructure provides Arbe with a scalable foundation for future growth, supporting its mission to revolutionize road safety through advanced radar solutions.
